What is Contamination ?
As far as microelectronics fabrication is concerned, contamination means the intrusion of impurities or dirt into a wafer or sample that could lead to various kinds of failure such as degradation of oxide integrity, threshold voltage shift, leakage, poor pattern definition and so forth.
